You can also hold the button to reveal how much life is left in the controller. These controls are centred by a mute button that disables your microphone while illuminating the battery profile with red LEDs. This helpfully eliminates the need to visit the console’s settings to adjust your gameplay and party noise disparity. It also has some convenient underside volume controls that allow seamless audio mixing during party chats. The controller features the standard 3.5mm jack connector that worked perfectly with my wired headset.
Appearing as the world’s smallest dumbbells, you can add additional weight to the controller for more presence in your hands. I hit my stride at 20g, which was just enough weight for the Unlimited Pro to be grounded yet versatile to my sudden flinches during Crash Bandicoot 4. These rubberised panels can be removed to reveal a nifty spot to put more weight into the device. You wouldn’t suspect that beneath this bouncy surface lies a seriously impressive feat in this controller’s mechanics. The Unlimited Pro’s rubberised back coating compliments this feel, with textured ridges allowing for a more secure fit in my hands.
I can also detect a welcome reduction in travel from the back triggers to the front shoulder buttons, allowing a grenade or flashbang throw to be more accessible in moments of free fire. Positioned at a height and depth for maximum comfort, aiming becomes more precise in shooters such as Call of Duty and Overwatch. When gripping the (slightly overly) clunky Unlimited Pro, my fingers are immediately drawn to the comfortable analogue triggers at the rear of the controller. With a newly placed directional pad and joysticks, Nacon has reimagined the standard DualShock format to offer a studier handheld device that is engineered for more comfort.
The large size of the Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro is a step towards the luxury of next-generation controllers like the PS5’s DualSense.

It feels great, and the sensitivity controls are killer.Wireless connection The Unlimited Pro can last up to approximately 7hrs 30mins without using the 3m charging cableĬustomisation options You can customise virtually any aspect of this controller through the companion software But having come to the Nacon via other products that have caused endless grief (I'm looking at you Raiju), and experiencing the benefit of extra buttons and customisation, a unit like this is essential. It's a lot of money to pay for something that's just 'really really good'. If this was my first premium controller I might have knocked off a star. however, map them to the same function so you at least get two extra buttons and this way it works fine. If your hands are the right size for this controller there is no way you can reliably press one and not the other in the middle of a game. the four special custom buttons on the underside grip are tiny and sit flush, two a side. I'm happy, because this is probably the reason the connection is solid, but if I didn't have a USB hub on the console I'd be in trouble.
It requires a bit of trial and error and searching up a Youtube tutorial is recommended. the customisation software is difficult to understand. the connection so far is flawless - no stick drag etc. No game will force you to play a certain way sensitive at the start of stick movement, or the end, or variations thereof) the sensitivity customisation is bananas - four profiles each with three configurable sensitivity 'zones' for stick movement (e.g. it's quite large, the perfect size for adult gamers I've tried a bunch of different controllers for PS4 and I would have to say this is the best.
